Excellent opportunity for a part-time clerical position (5-6 hours/month) ideal for anyone interested in learning about Town government. As a Recording Clerk for the Town's Zoning Bylaw Review Committee your responsibilities include attending meetings once a month and record minutes to submit to the Chair.
Minimum qualifications include:
Excellent grammar and attention to detail
Ability to comprehend discussions and summarize in written format
Word processing and email proficiency
Reliability and able to work independently
An interest in municipal government or zoning and land use is beneficial but not necessary
Willing and able to become familiar with the Commonwealth of MA Open Meeting Law
This is a part time position. The Zoning Bylaw Review Committee typically holds 1 meeting each month on the 2nd Wednesday, beginning at 6:30pm. Attendance at meetings is required; minutes preparation can be completed remotely. Recording Clerk must become familiar with the Commonwealth of MA Open Meeting Law.
Starting rate is $23.65/hr with the opportunity for bi-annual increases.
