Job Description:

A company in Burbank is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join the finance team. The primary role of the successful candidate will be to manage our organization's outgoing payments, reviewing and processing invoices, and making sure vendors get paid for their services timely and accurately. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also have to reconcile invoices with purchase orders, perform reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies. You must be able to go onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.

• Set up invoices for payment and enter vendor invoices into the system.

• Track expenses and process expense reports.

• Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

• Perform reconciliation of payments and bank accounts.

• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

• Assist with month-end closing activities.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, or in a similar role.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

• Exceptional time management and data entry skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
