Description

As remote Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a pivotal member of our legal team, dedicated to advancing critical initiatives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who excels in complex problem-solving and decision-making. You will safeguard our interests by meticulously gathering and analyzing information, developing and evaluating legal strategies, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing insightful counsel. Your responsibilities will include advising our executive leadership on the most effective legal and regulatory pathways to support the organization's goals and ensure compliance with applicable laws. This role has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and negotiate strategic agreements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support legal review and regulatory compliance across various company functions including product development, digital marketing, and data privacy.

• Interact and provide legal services to ensure compliance with multi-state and federal regulations.

• Act as lead counsel on data privacy, marketing regulatory compliance, digital marketing, and social media law.

  Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• Law degree with 3+ years of legal experience in regulatory or transactions, preferably in a healthcare or benefits environment.

• Strong knowledge of privacy and cyber security, compliance, and multi-state and federal regulations.

Desired Skills:

• Medicare experience (not required but advantageous).

• Business acumen with a keen interest in understanding business operations.

• Proven ability to work hands-on, organized, and maintain a personable approach.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex legal matters into relatable terms.
