Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the deployment, automation, reliability, and performance of our infrastructure used to build, test, deploy, observe, and operate enterprise applications, and web services. In this position you will lead technical efforts in build infrastructure in the Azure, OpenShift and Hybrid cloud. You must have a solid understanding of how containerization works and the deployment of applications into the private and public cloud. To be considered you must have solid and demonstrable experience designing application infrastructure and automation operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams on a regular basis to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed current and future needs of the organization.

Partner with application teams to design and build highly scalable and reliable infrastructure in Azure.

Implement the necessary configuration changes and deploy the migrated applications to OpenShift clusters, following best practices for container orchestration and management.

Identify and resolve any issues that arise during and after migration, including deployment failures, container errors, and platform-specific problems in the OpenShift environment.

Ability to own projects from end to end, working with business stakeholders, IT teams, data stewards, and 3rd party companies to ensure accurate and insightful outcomes.

Partner with application and infrastructure teams to orchestrate and automate application deployments

Build automation and process to enable self-serve production deployments

Code, configure, integrate, manage, and enhance various automation tools.

Implement security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), secrets management, and compliance with corporate policies during and after the migration process.

Work closely with development, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure smooth migration, provide clear documentation for the OpenShift environment, and offer support post-migration.

Participate in application and infrastructure release, deployment, and DR activities.

Education and Experience Required:

Combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture

Extensive experience with DevOps, building and managing CI/CD pipelines, and automating deployment processes.

Extensive experience in developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Helm, Ansible, version control and reusable modules.

Extensive experience in developing and deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes environments, with expertise in container orchestration and management

Solid knowledge of Azure Cloud services including Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Networking, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and Azure Red Hat Openshift (ARO).

Solid understanding of DevOps principles, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.

Expert knowledge and experience with container technologies using OpenShift/Kubernetes and Podman/Docker (build, configure, support).

Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace , Azure App insight and Grafana and able to build Dashboards and schedule monitoring alerts

Experience building Java, Angular, do net, Golang, React , Python and TypeScript applications in Azure and as well as Containers.

Experience providing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery solutions using gitlab CI/CD

Education and Experience Preferred:

Extensive experience with writing ansible playbook

Good knowledge on Traditional Unix and experience on workload migration knowledge

Working experience on Prometheus

Working experience on ELK / SPLUNK

Working experience on Liquibase and database migration tools

Knowledge on Shell / Python Scripting

Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to debug and resolve complex issues in cloud and OpenShift environments.

Experience working with build, test, monitor and deployment tools.

Experience working with Source Control Management Systems, Gitlab and Gitlab CI/CD jobs.

Experience working with scheduling tools like cron job, OpenShift scheduler and Automic.
