Summary: Assists supervisor with the direction and coordination of the activities of workers engaged in a specific discipline of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis, treatment and research; provides technical supervision and training to subordinate-level staff members; performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in a timely manner as assigned; obtains and interprets data for diagnosis and treatment of disease; performs related laboratory technology duties.

Salary range for this position is $68,523 - $87,032 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also includes a geographic differential of $4.60 hourly for a total salary range of $78,117 - $96,626 annually.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications

1. Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York and the equivalent of six(6) years of full-time experience in the specific laboratory discipline; or
2. Bachelor's degree in medical or clinical laboratory technology or a related discipline, eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in the specific laboratory discipline.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have the following skills/experiences:

• Extensive NGS and molecular experience.
• Previous/current experience with basic molecular biology concepts/techniques; experience with robotic technology.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including spreadsheet manipulation and statistics
• Excellent organization and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills written/verbal.
• NY licensed as CLT or eligible for restricted pathway.
• Familiarity/Experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) and associated principals
