M&T Bank Commercial Covenant Support Analyst in Buffalo, New York

Overview:

This position will be responsible for providing Covenant management support for internal customers across the commercial bank in the way of monitoring email inquiries, nCino updates and monitoring reports to ensure system, data and reporting accuracy. Provide feedback to the lines of business where trends are identified.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor incoming inquiries from the Lines of Business, ensuring timely response and resolution

  • Provide feedback to the Lines of business on data issues or inaccuracies. Provide trends and supporting evidence.

  • Monitor daily covenant monitoring reports for data gaps, ensuring they are followed up and resolved

  • Update nCino Covenant Management and compliance records where necessary aligning with applicable loan agreements and credit policy requirements.

  • Provide Covenant expertise, including procedure updates and assist with training when necessary

  • Ensure at all times that the proper controls are in place and adhered to.

  • Identify trends, emerging issues and engage relevant stakeholders to develop project plans, organize virtual and physical events, synthesize multiple points of view and communicate findings utilizing such tools as white papers, reports and other relevant formats.

  • Perform complex analysis and judgment-based work over multiple disciplines to support business decisions

  • Go beyond basic reporting and delivery with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and information to provide meaningful insights and professionally communicate those insights to management.

  • Drive continuous improvement of existing processes, develop new processes or enhance existing processes where required including maintenance plans, procedural documentation and custom tools for automation. Identify resources that can be utilized to support business operations or improve existing business processes. Provide input and recommendations to management.

  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Required:

  • Bachelors and a minimum of 3 years related business line experience,

OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of Commercial systems such as nCino, ERM, AFS

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $60,890.34 - $101,483.90 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
