Come grow with us!! Save The Michaels of the world is looking to hire a qualified, ethical, dependable and dedicated individual to fill the position of the Accounting Manager position in our Buffalo Office. Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency required.

Qualified Individuals will have EXPERIENCE with Bookkeeping, working with non-for-profit organizations, state and federal funding sources such as grants, asset management, tax filing, and medical billing experience.

Competitive Salary determined by experience, education and qualifications.

Responsibilities * Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process * Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger * Manage 3 person accounting team * Work with State and federal reporting guidelines * Familiar with Non-for-profit work and billing * Bring the books to the trial balance stage * Perform partial checks of the posting process * Complete tax forms * Enter data, maintain records and lunch reports and financial statements * Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner * Medical billing

Skills

MUST HAVE PROVEN Experience * 501c3 Non-Profit Experience is MUST. * Proven bookkeeping experience * Asset Management * Invoicing experience * Non for profit experience * Tax preparation experience * Grant reporting experience * Knowledge of invoicing to government funding sources * Financial Reporting experience * Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles * Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records * Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers * Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software * Proficiency in English and in MS Office, & Quickbooks. * Customer service orientation and negotiation skills * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
