Position Summary:

The Center for Research and Education in Special Environments (https://publichealth.buffalo.edu/exercise-and-nutrition-sciences/research-and-facilities/core-facilities/crese.html) is seeking an Research Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will be familiar with diagnostic exercise equipment, possess knowledge of computer-based programs, have an understanding of basic cardiovascular and neuromuscular physiology.

Job Duties Include:

• Participant Recruitment, Enrollment, and Screening

• Maintain participant schedules

• Implementing and Administering Complex Research Studies

• Performing Standard Lab Related Tests and Procedures

• Collect, Maintain, and Analyze Data

Must be able to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree

• Requires the use of specialized techniques in the field of endeavor to make observations, collect data, use survey instruments and techniques, and make related calculations using mathematical formulae.

• Must be able to pass a physical exam for scuba diving or work in a pressurized environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree

• Experience in human subjects research

• Experience in a human research lab
