Position Summary:

The Haiqing Lin research group is performing breakthrough research focused on the synthesis and characterization of polymeric membranes for gas separation and water purification. The position is available immediately with a term of one year and may be extended for an additional year based on satisfactory progress.

The candidate will:

  • develop membranes for post combustion carbon capture

  • synthesize and characterize polymers and/or metal organic frameworks

  • prepare and characterize thin-film composite membranes

  • prepare presentations, reports, and manuscripts

Minimum Qualifications:

Interested candidates should have a PhD degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or materials science. The candidate should have a background in two or more of the following areas: materials synthesis, characterization of materials structures, and membranes for gas separation and water purification.

Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate is preferred to have strong experience in the synthesis of monomers and polymers.
