Position Summary:

The Department of Medicine (https://medicine.buffalo.edu/departments/medicine.html) at the University of Buffalo is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. Our lab studies the epigenetic mechanisms of resistance to receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (RTKIs) in renal cell carcinoma.

This position is to:

  • Investigate the role of the histone modifier EZH2 and the androgen receptor (AR) in modulating drug resistance to RTKIs both in preclinical models and patients.

  • Investigate the role of dietary changes in reducing toxicities and increasing antitumor response of targeted therapies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with experience in cancer or cell biology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in genitourinary cancer Cell culture and animal models general molecular biology techniques (qPCR, immunoblot, ELISA etc)

  • Experience in histology, immunofluorescence and microscopy RNAseq and phosphoproteomics

  • Experience with PBMCs and biomarkers
