Summary:
Promotes and maintains quality patient care through effective management of patient flow and supervision of patient care areas during their assigned tour of duty; acts as the on-site administrator in the organization after normal business hours and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call; evaluates and manages departmental resources.

Salary range for this position is $114,250-$132,120 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
2. Certification or eligibility for Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting including one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting including one (1) year experience in an oncology support setting and one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or
3. Associate's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting including one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or
4. Associate's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting including one (1) year experience in an oncology support setting and one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience.

NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the appropriate certification within eighteen (18) months of their appointment to this title.
2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have prior experience working as a charge nurse, possess strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with various disciplines.
