Description We are in search of a diligent Credit Clerk based in Buffalo, New York, who will contribute to our team by ensuring the smooth operation of our credit processes. This role is central to our financial operations and involves responsibilities such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving credit inquiries. This role is key to our operations in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process customer credit applications in a timely and precise manner

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of customer credit information

• Respond to and resolve any customer credit inquiries or issues

• Monitor customer credit accounts consistently to identify any irregularities or overdue payments

• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments from customers

• Oversee all agency finances under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer

• Manage a small team within the accounting department to ensure deadlines are met

• Lead in maintaining banking relationships and conducting all banking transactions

• Prepare weekly cash flow reports and forecasts

• Maintain the General Ledger and perform month-end close and bank reconciliations

• Ensure monthly grant vouchering deadlines are met and thorough forecast analysis is completed for budget to actual to ensure full spend down

• Maintain tight control of contract deadlines and fiscal obligations

• Meet with program monitors from funding agencies and complete annual filing requirements as necessary. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial management position

• Demonstrated proficiency in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Skilled in Month End Close procedures and Bank Regulation practices

• Experience with Monthly Bank Reconciliation and other financial reconciliation processes

• Must have a strong understanding of financial laws and regulations

• Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Proficient in using financial software and databases

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA or CMA) is preferred

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
