Description
Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a highly reputable organization that is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to join their finance team! This AR Manager position will oversee and manage all aspects of accounts and billing processes. The ideal candidate Accounts Receivable Manager will work closely with but internal and external patrons/departments to ensure accurate billing, collections, and compliance with financial procedures. You will be a key player in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations in the organization. This is a permanent position that offers excellent benefits and is located in the Buffalo, NY area!
Responsibilities:
Process and invoice all incidental charges efficiently
Regularly consult with parents regarding tuition charges and payment procedures
Collaborate with the financial aid office to ensure aid is properly applied to student accounts
Coordinate the production of delinquency letters and status reports
Contact and collect outstanding accounts, reporting any issues promptly
Manage and track enrollment contracts, providing regular status updates to the admissions office
Prepare various aging and tuition schedules for monthly reconciliation and year-end audit
Assist in the preparation of monthly account analysis on various general ledger accounts
Handle the preparation and updating of accounting policies related to accounts receivable as needed
Balance rental payments to the rental management system on a monthly basis
Prepare quarterly sales tax returns and ensure accurate petty cash balancing
Requirements
4+ years of experience working in an accounts receivable role
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
Must possess knowledge and experience in Accounting Software Systems
Must have skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
Prior experience in a supervisory role is advantageous
Excellent organizational and leadership skills are required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
