Jenny Bour with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant with a manufacturing company in the Buffalo, NY area! This Accountant role involves a variety of accounting functions, with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as the use of Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel. If you are looking to grow in your accounting career and have strong Excel skills, this may be the position for you!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Carry out weekly freight reviews to monitor and control costs

• Handle cash disbursements and maintain records of these transactions

• Allocate payroll and ensure that all entries are correct

• Assist in reporting tasks, providing accurate data for decision making

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Accounting Software Systems for various accounting tasks

• Participate in preparing the annual budget and cash flow analysis

• Maintain and update accounting records for accuracy and completeness

• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable and receivable

• Conduct regular reviews of financial transactions and reports.

  Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Pivot Tables, V-lookups, etc.

• 1+ years of experience working in an accounting role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
