Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. This role involves working within a small law firm setting, focusing on Estate Planning. The successful candidate will be working closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and other paralegals, and will have regular interactions with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and draft documents related to trusts, wills, memos, and other written correspondence.

• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and other paralegals on Guardianship and Estate Administration tasks.

• Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with updates and addressing their inquiries.

• Maintain and update the client database regularly.

• Conduct Estate Planning tasks, including the preparation of wills and trusts.

• Use Microsoft Excel and Word to organize data and create documents.

• Actively participate in the formulation of legal strategies.

• Ensure all legal documents are correctly processed and stored.

• Provide administrative support to the legal team as required.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Paralegal

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience in Trusts and Estates

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program preferred

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
