Chevron Argentina is accepting online candidates for the Strategy and Business Performance Decision Analyst role.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Decision Support advice and consultancy to Chevron Argentina Executive team in the Development of Vaca Muerta Oil and Gas fields and energy transition projects.

  • Lead Economic & Fiscal modeling to support strategic portfolio analysis and business/strategic planning activities.

  • Opportunity & alternatives assessment and documentation (Decision Support Packages, funding requests to senior leadership up-to and including the executive leadership team, management presentations/recommendations) for Chevron's investments in Argentina.

  • Developing and maintaining Decision Analysis models for financial forecasting and economic evaluation of large, medium and small capital investment projects

  • Asset/Well/Project performance monitoring & analysis

  • Lead key strategic projects and initiatives, including basin level, or industry level macro-economic evaluations, and may support Chevron corporate business development team on strategic opportunity evaluations

  • Conduct and participate in Decision Analysis/Economic model peer reviews across Latin America and global asset teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years of experience in economic modeling/decision analysis in the oil & gas industry

  • Deep understanding and experience of key financial/economic metrics including net present value, rate of return, earnings, & cash flow

  • Deep experience with economic modeling and alternatives analysis for oil & gas projects, preferably in Upstream projects (eg. exploration, appraisal, development, major capital projects, and/or acquisitions/divestitures)

  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors with emphasis on indirect influencing ability, strong relationship building, One-Team mindset, listening and a customer-focus

  • Strong oral and written communications skills in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting and/or developing annual business plans and long term strategic plans

  • Fluency and experience with the Agile approach to decision making and leading/facilitating project framing and scoping
