Auditions will be held on July 24 th ( Dancers ) and July 25 th (Singers who can Dance) at Knott’s Berry Farm.

Knott’s Berry Farm Entertainment is casting SINGERS with strong movement/dance abilities and DANCERS with musical theater, tap, and ballet experience for “Home for the Holidays.” A dance combination will be taught at the audition. Please wear appropriate dance attire. Shoes must be worn at all times. SINGERS should prepare 16-bars of a musical theater selection. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring appropriate sheet music. Seeking a diverse spectrum of gender identities, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. An ideal candidate will have a passion for providing the highest quality of entertainment, have a strong stage presence and the ability to commit to all rehearsals and show dates. Please bring a headshot and performance resume . Rehearsals start in the beginning of November. Shows run on select dates from November 22, 2024 through January 5, 2025. Individuals who would like to be considered must attend an in-person audition. These roles are compensated at a rate of $20.65/hr.

(Father Figure) Jim Harper: Strong Singer/Actor. Baritone. Must be able to play the role of a 35-55 year old. Pleasant and charming with a commanding presence. Father and narrator of the show.
(Mother Figure) Ester Harper: Strong Singer/Actor. Soprano. Must be able to play the role of a 30-45 year old. Kind, warm and charming mother.
(Child Figures) Harper Children: Strong Singers/Actors. Tenor (Male) and Alto/Soprano (Female). Must be able to play the role of a 13-17 year old. Youthful, playful, and charming.

Responsibilities:
Using your talents to enrich the Holiday atmosphere for guests
Working as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
Consistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceived
Remaining in character while "on‑stage” and in view of guests and interact with guests while performing in a professional and artistic manner
Providing guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions
Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays
Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies
Adhering to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
Performing other duties as they are assigned
Qualifications:
Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekends nights and holidays
Dance experience (required)
Willingness and ability to wear heavy make‑up for extended periods of time
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV
Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
