Corning Inc. is seeking a Sr. Planner for our Global Supply Chain team.

We are looking for a visionary professional with planning expertise to develop, create, and

implement detailed planning standards and work processes throughout our business operations.

In the first 12 to 18 months, you will collaborate with internal partners to design and establish Corning's Integrated Planning Standards. This role involves supporting the integration of planning tools under one ERP system and assisting in the development of standardized processes and SOPs. Your contribution will drive efficiency and productivity across business units.

As your role evolves, you will move into a core planning operation position. You will act as a crucial link between customers and manufacturing sites, managing inventory levels and coordinating with various departments. Your goal will be to optimize supply chain operations and meet customer demand while minimizing costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree and professional certification e.g., APICS, CSCP are a plus)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or a related field

  • Proficiency in ERP and supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement supply chain planning work processes

  • Develop short term production schedules aligning with demand forecasts and inventory policies

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and warehouse teams

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels and trends

  • Implement inventory control policies and procedures

  • Plan transportation and distribution of products

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to senior management

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain
