Morgan Stanley Senior Model Risk Developer (VP) in Budapest, Hungary

The Technology Models office is responsible for the governance of model risk within Technology. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the models used in Technology, Cyber and Fraud are in compliance with regulatory requirements and firm’s Model Risk Management policies through model documentation and testing. This role involves specifically the analysis, testing, documentation and certification of models, mostly vendor models purchased by Morgan Stanley.

*You will: * • The key responsibilities of this role are • documentation of the fraud risk following model risk management guideline and assist in the model certification process with the Model Risk Management team • Develop ongoing monitoring plan for the given models to fulfill model risk management guideline. • Work with vendors and business to understand the model’s methodology and outputs. • Design testing plans and negotiate testing plans with Vendor and Model Risk Management (second line of defense) to assess model performance. Perform tests in collaborations with vendors and business teams. Analyze test results and identify potential issues and report to business. • Address questions raised during the model certification process. Work with vendors, business and Model Risk Management to investigate and remediate model related issues/limitations identified during the certification process. • Liaise with the business and Model Validators to understand business needs, implementation and control process needed for certification. • Document models as per the Morgan Stanley model documentation template. Perform model maintenance work after model certification as per Model Risk Management policies which includes but not limited to model annual recertification, revalidation, model change document update and testing etc. • Develop ongoing monitoring plan for the given models following model risk management guideline. Manage the ongoing monitoring process by negotiating with the vendor to implement monitoring plans and report monitoring results to the Model Control committee. • Present monitoring at the monthly Model Control Committee.#LI-FT1

*You have: * • Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative fields • Strong understanding of statistical modeling and quantitative analysis
• Excellent technical writing skills • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate efficiently with key stakeholders • Detail oriented with good organizational skill • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint. • Superior analytical thinking and problem solving abilities. • Leadership potential with strong relationship building skills • Self-starter, self-motivator and team player who brings a "can-do" approach

*You might also have: * • Advanced degree e.g.: MSc, PhD • Experience with Machine Learning modeling • Programming skills
