Senior Manager, Group Risk Management & Insurance

What is the job about?

On a daily basis heading up the Group Risk Management & Insurance team leading a team of 6 references. The team is responsible for the Group’s global insurance program including non-life Insurances, employee benefit insurances, pensions, risk management, crisis management and M&A related activities. You will be reporting into Head of Group Treasury, Risk Management & Insurance.

Your main responsibilities :

Non-life Insurances Global

  • Insurance strategy and tactical approach to insurance purchase across insurance lines customized to Grundfos needs

  • Preparing risk information/calculations, performing market presentations, negotiate with insurers/brokers premiums, wordings/terms and service level agreements

  • Hazard Loss Prevention and insurance risk management on key production sites/supply chain

  • Key insurance lines in scope:

  • All-Risk Property including Business Interruption

  • Construction all-risk

  • Cargo

  • General and Product Liability including recall

  • Cyber

  • Directors and officers Insurance

  • Employer Liability and Workmen’s Compensation

  • Business Travel and Expat

  • Negotiate claims settlements with insurers – yearly average compensation 25-30m DKK

Employee (People) Benefits Insurances

  • Insurance strategy and tactical approach to insurance purchase customized to Grundfos and the employees needs

  • Negotiating and set-up of Multinational Pooling agreements, consultant/broker agreements and direct insurance placements

  • Key Insurances included: Life, Medical, Disability, Accident

Pension/retirement Global

  • Organizing the yearly IFRS/IAS19 reporting with actuaries/consultants

  • De-risking agenda mainly on defined benefits/pension schemes

  • Facilitation placement of the Danish pension scheme and ongoing management of the agreement

Risk Management

  • Coordinate and lead the Enterprise Risk Management Framework including preparation of the top risks to be discussed with Group Management and further on finalized the top 10 to the Board of Directors as well as follow up on mitigation actions

M&A and PMI activities and other

  • Perform due diligences on acquisitions

  • PMI of insurances into Group programs

  • Being a member of the travel Crisis Management Team

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Significant experience (more than 10 years) in a leading risk management role

  • Experience in leading a team of risk management specialists within project management and effective communication with team and stakeholders

  • Proven experience in risk management and insurances in large corporates with a background from an insurance broker and/or from large corporates

  • Fluency in English, and preferably with one or more additional language(s)

  • Strong leadership skills with proactive and cooperative way of working with team members and stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor approach and present complex information to broad audiences

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of effectively presenting risk reports and insights to management

  • Strategic mindset with a detail-oriented approach to solving complex problems

Workplace

This position will be either located in Grundfos offices in Bjerringbro, Denmark or Budapest, Hungary.
