Job Description Summary

As the Global AP Initiatives lead, you will have the primary responsibility for leading Accounts Payable initiatives & transformation projects. You will partner with Healthcare and Operational process teams to drive system utilization and process standardization. This position involves being the overall project lead and coordinating teams IT, Business Finance, Sourcing, regional & Global AP & BPO teams. Primary responsibility for leading the Accounts payable strategic metrics, reporting capabilities, and dashboards. This role will be defining and executing Accounts payable reporting requirements for GE Healthcare operational AP globally.

You will also help to drive change management using the LEAN Mindset across entities and regions - eliminating exceptions when possible.

The scope of this role covers the legal entities operated by the GE Healthcare across the globe in contact with the local/regional business controllership teams & BPO providers.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of the LEAN “TO BE” Accounts Payable process landscape across GE HealthCare.

  • Utilize Lean and Project Management methods, tools, and techniques in combination with coaching and influencing skills to achieve specific project objectives/outcomes.

  • Deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in data visibility, new solution designs and business processes to reduce defects and attain world-class levels of quality.

  • Identify, assess, and implement best practices across HC and external operational teams.

  • Partner with various teams to develop and execute project plans, including tracking project milestones, identifying key stakeholders, integrating the dependencies, and monitoring the timelines.

  • Support Accounts Payable visibility through reporting initiatives including DataLake, data analytics tools (Spotfire, PowerBI, Other) and Oracle reporting apps

  • When required support the completion of current GEHC Accounts payable operational implementations including oversight of hyper care, training and SOP’s are updated.

  • Provide operational and deployment support to Accounts payable reporting applications.

  • Help define and monitor adherence to the GEHC standard Accounts payable processes and support gap analysis effort as required. Help to develop projects to close gaps as necessary through partnership

  • Create and support documentation of new processes, including regional variations.

  • Work collaboratively with all levels of business stakeholders to develop Accounts payable footprint (AP, PO, Purchasing, Vendor Payment)

  • Effectively communicate updates & progress to finance leadership, process leads and Genpact teams.

  • Escalate and support timely closure around systems / reporting issues. Provide necessary liaison with IT function.

  • Support the regional and local Finance teams around activities tied to systems maintenance, period close, data governance and optimization programs.

  • Support regional Finance monthly / quarterly period close activities around systems monitoring, issues remediation and user support.

  • Team player with strong influencing and facilitation skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Strong verbal and written skills; ability to facility large audience meetings

  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills, attention to detail

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading projects & productivity initiatives – ideally in Accounts Payable

  • Fluency in English.

  • Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership, energizing global teams, and global project management.

  • Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment.

  • Ability to successfully motivate, and maintain high moral, employee involvement, and teamwork.

  • Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast-paced changing environment.

  • Trained and/or certified in LEAN process improvement would be preferred.

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GEHC (customers and regulatory agencies)

  • Experience with B2P systems (ideally Coupa), applications and processes

  • Experience with common finance systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)

  • Experienced with Excel
