GKN Automotive Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Budapest, Hungary

We built a brand new manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Miskolc in 2023, which includes assembly and office accommodation. Our Miskolc facility is a key regional facility for the driveline technologies that GKN Automotive supply to our global customer base. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team.

Job description:

  • Participation in projects of continuous improvement of technological processes.

  • Lead the alignment of a site or multiple sites as the single point of contact for people and site related aspects for engineering

  • Understanding the company's development strategy and understanding the role of the team in its implementation and communicating to team members.

  • Creating a vision and strategy for the development of production processes

  • Prioritize, plan, and enforce tasks.

  • Providing the right resources necessary for the work of the team.

  • Preparation and supervision over development plans of production departments

  • Participation in audits of the system, production process and workplace.

  • Company Capex Management

  • Supervision over projects carried out by the ME department

  • Capacity-demand supervision

  • Supervision at CIMS

  • QAD change management

  • Managing changes to documentation

  • Overseeing standards

  • ImDS supervision

  • Management and supervision on performance (SPT database) and OEE

  • Conducting analyses for new businesses, feasibility, production costs

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical engineering desirable)

  • Minimum 3 years of work in a company with a similar production profile

  • Ability to manage teams of people

  • Openness to technical novelties

  • Knowledge of the methodology of planning technological processes

  • Knowledge of technological processes used for the production of OLE products.

  • AUTOCAD

  • Experience in project management

  • Very good knowledge of English

  • Knowing how to determine product costs

  • Experience in conducting investment processes

  • Knowledge of the methodology of creating a vision and strategy for the development of production processes
