Citigroup Employee Relations Lead in Budapest, Hungary

Team/Role Overview

The Employee Relations Team independently and thoroughly investigates workplace concerns on behalf of senior management. We are an established team working across multiple jurisdictions. We work on a variety of complex matters, working closely with internal stakeholders including HR Legal, Compliance, Citi Security and Investigative Services and Audit.

What you’ll do as the Employee Relations Lead

  • Apply subject matter expertise to independently and thoroughly investigate workplace concerns.

  • Interface with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of issues, including the application of global standards.

  • Participate in a range of regulatory exams and internal audit reviews.

  • Work with the HR Legal team in the investigation of and response to agency charges and litigation.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Citi Security and Investigative Services and Audit on investigations of employee misconduct.

  • Appropriately assess risk demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by

  • drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations,

  • adhere to Policy,

  • apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and

  • escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

  • 8+ years of experience within HR and/or internal investigations

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Fluent English language skills

  • Ability to work at pace

  • Mature interpersonal skills and an ability to demonstrate empathy

  • Great analytical skills

  • Confidence to deal with and make judgement calls in complex and nuanced situations
