EMEA & APAC Division is embarking on a multi-year Business Transformation program, which will include significant investments to streamline its key business processes and upgrade its IT systems.

The RTR Divisional Process Owner must define, align with Global BPE team and senior leadership (Global/Divisional) and communicate a clear direction at divisional level for end-to-end RTR process excellence. This direction needs to be synced with global programs and frameworks and with divisional projects impacting RTR processes. In the same time, RTR roadmap configuration will need to be connected with industry best practices and tech market offering.

The primary responsibilities and objectives of this role are centered around managing and optimizing the RTR process, through planned S4HANA rollout (including Global Books of Record), Blackline/Vertex optimization/extension and process standardization and simplification.

This role will have direct line accountability to the EMEA Director of Process Excellence and will have a team of Business Process Managers.

Location: EMEA / Bucharest (preferred)

Travel required: 10% of the time

Key Responsibilities:

Prioritize & Secure Funding for Process Improvement Opportunities

  • Identify process and system enhancements to ensure that processes are continuously improved. Determine which opportunities to pursue with a focus on reducing process costs, increasing efficiency, and maximizing investment returns

  • Build and maintain appropriate costing models for each value stream / process and liaise with functional leads, line management and GPO to ensure that the process improvements support the functional strategy

Monitor Process Performance & Identify Opportunities

  • Review end-to-end process performance and provide ongoing governance for process adoption and demand

  • Participate in governance management to provide input on items such as process scope and service delivery and assist in resolving operational issues

  • Define and review regularly end to end KPI process architecture and ensure process metrics are communicated and understood by all stakeholders impacting process outputs

  • Collaborate with corporate functions, data owners/stewards, and peers to ensure consistency and alignment across policy, process, and data.

Process design and System Management

  • Support Global Controls and Global BPE team on designing/updating process standards

  • Develop change management strategy and plans to deploy within the division the process standards agreed

  • Act as the process design authority to approve/reject process changes vs standards agreed globally or divisionally, while keeping alignment with GPOs

  • Ensure process documentation (process maps, process catalogues, guidebooks, policies and procedures) is continuously reviewed, updated and communicated in the division, in partnership with global controls team. Create mechanism to continuously track, monitor and review deviations from process standards defined and documented

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of RTR systems and tools (ex Blackline)

  • Ensure that SAP and connected technology supports the RTR process effectively, work with IT to address system issues and improvements and work with BUs and GBS to address technology adoption gaps through trainings and change management

GBS center service delivery

  • Through regular governance, ensure SLAs are met from both sides (BUs and GBS center), SOP ongoing review, in partnership with GBS management and BUs

  • Offer support and work collaboratively with PMO, BUs and GBS Operations for smooth execution of process migrations to GBS

Skills and Relevant Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in Finance and minimum 5 years experience with SSC/GBS/BPO

  • Deep understanding of finance processes, including general ledger, taxes, financial reporting, financial planning, internal controls, accounts receivables, payables, product costing

  • Experienced leading improvement and transformational projects, with proven track record of process optimization and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

  • Experience working with SAP; involvement in SAP deployment projects considered a big plus

  • Experience with RTR and financial planning automation tools and workflows a plus (ex. Blackline, Vertex, Anaplan)

  • Strong project and change management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • English language - Proficiency level (B2 and above)
