We are seeking a “world-class” Operational Support System (OSS) Expert to join us in the advancement of this next-gen intelligent IoT SaaS Platform to meet future growth and scalability needs.  You will be working in a fast-paced, global engineering team while collaborating with other developers, solution architects, Integration engineers, management, and customer support groups.  You will have an opportunity to work on the latest technology stack and cloud infrastructure as you will be involved in all phases of the solution lifecycle and make significant contribution to the team.

You will Conduct in-depth analysis of existing OSS systems, processes, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Design and implement tailored OSS solutions, including system integration, workflow automation, and data management strategies. You will provide strategic advice and recommendations on OSS architecture, technologies, and best practices to drive operational efficiency. Deals with fault, performance, service and inventory management. Provides support and assistance along the entire Life Cycle of the platforms in scope. Also, will Stay updated with the latest OSS trends, emerging technologies, and industry standards to provide informed insights and recommendations.

You work in the Network Operations team, which is responsible for the architecting, development, building Our IoT Core Solution consists of products such as Signaling nodes, virtualized Packet Core nodes, Subscription database nodes, Mobile Packet Backbone nodes and Messaging nodes. You will be responsible for designing and implementing IT systems to support the operations and business processes of Aeris.

About You:

  • Passionate, innovative, likes to explore and continuously challenge yourself and your team, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enough years of experience to feel and act like a mentor and a lead

  • 5-8 years of experience in OSS systems

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Strong hands on experience in IP & OSS systems to support our IoT solution and OSS:

  • Being the SME lead responsible for ensuring successful technical project completion

  • in their area

  • OSS solution design & architecture (including data formats)

  • Production of handover, documentation & knowledge sharing of information to

  • to related team

  • Choosing required tooling (hardware & software)

  • Knowledge of network event and alarm management

  • IT systems, backup solutions, monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios, Veritas Backup) Proposing solutions to change requests

  • Maintaining high standards of personal professionalism and integrity

  • Ability to learn new technologies, propose and evaluate options

  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively with product and engineering management and project stakeholders in a highly agile environment

  • Ability to independently lead technical designs and implementation of product features

  • Experience building and working with cost efficient large-scale production systems.

  • Up-to-date with the latest technologies with ability to introduce them as needed

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent field.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have:

  • Strong academic record to degree level, or equivalent industry experience

  • Willingness to share information with peers and junior team members

  • Experience in cloud based transformation program

  • Experience in RHEL/Unix, Java, DevOps Tools

  • Self-starter able to research and experiment to find a solution unaided

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of mobile network 2G/3G/4G/5G

  • Operational Support System Framework Solutions

  • Event management specification & design

  • Some experience with scripting languages (e.g. bash, Perl, Powershell, Python, SQL)

  • Broad knowledge of the basics of Enterprise IT architectures

  • Broad knowledge of the basic outputs possible from Enterprise monitoring tools (e.g.

  • SNMP Traps, SolarWinds, BMC Patrol)
