As a Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse at St. Joseph Health, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients in our unit. Our patients are admitted for a wide variety of medical conditions providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized services such as oncology treatment, surgical services, cardiac monitoring and end of life care. Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals, planning and implementing intervention and evaluating patient care outcomes. With the staff nurse's professional practice he/she responsible for participating in and maintaining quality, cost effectiveness and guest relations. Provide patient care in compliance with hospital policies and procedures and the standards of professional nursing practice as defined by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.

  • Expect to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift

  • Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation

  • Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging

We are offering a $20,000 Sign On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree In Nursing

  • Bachelors in Nursing preferred

  • At least 1 Year Of Experience as an RN

  • Oncology experience preferred

  • Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association

Pay Range

$28.50 - $43.46 /hour
