SENIOR CYBER UNDERWRITER

We are excited to offer a full-time position for a (Senior) Financial Lines Underwriter specializing in the Cyber division within our vibrant and growing BeLux Financial Lines team based in Brussels.

As a Senior Financial Lines Cyber Underwriter, you will have the opportunity to:

  • be part of a market-leading Cyber team, managing a diverse portfolio across Belgium and Luxembourg. You may equally be involved in accounts relating to Professional Indemnity.

  • collaborate closely with the Cyber team lead and internal stakeholders to shape the strategy for Cyber in the Belgian and Luxembourg markets, ensuring a profitable portfolio and identifying growth opportunities.

  • contribute to achieving financial and operational targets for the Cyber division and the Financial Lines team, while delivering the necessary reporting and data analysis requested by management.

  • enhance AIG’s visibility and expand relationships in the local market through engaging in external presentations, training sessions, and meetings in Luxembourg and Belgium.

  • work alongside the Cyber team lead to manage the team effectively, ensuring efficient policy issuance and account management by embracing technology-driven solutions.

  • participate in a culture of continuous learning, leveraging various opportunities to deepen your expertise and mentor the next generation of AIG underwriters.

  • drive growth by analyzing risks, issuing quotes, underwriting assigned Cyber risks, and collaborating with the team to develop new products and facilitate cross-selling opportunities.

  • to adhere to compliance and underwriting guidelines, setting an exemplary role for other team members and drive underwriting excellence across the board.

    Are you the perfect fit for our team? Here's what we're looking for:

  • 5 years of previous underwriting experience that demonstrates your industry knowledge and skills within the field of Cyber.

  • A Master's degree in (Applied) Economics or Law, or equivalent experience that showcases your expertise.

  • A strong service-oriented mindset and a collaborative team spirit.

  • Analytical prowess and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

  • Dedication to delivering high-quality service, getting it right the first time.

  • Politeness, empathy, and a helpful demeanor in interactions with both external clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to foster a positive and productive team environment that encourages growth and success.

  • Resilience in handling stress, with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting by effectively prioritizing tasks.

  • Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English to facilitate seamless communication.

  • An affinity to IT/ technology to embrace (new) technologies and the implementation thereof.
