Job Description

As a Sales Finance Analyst within our Benelux entity, you will report directly to the Benelux Finance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing commercial data, as well as controlling and reporting on back margin spending.Additionally, you will handle some standard accounting tasks.This position offers a permanent opportunity based at our Belgium subsidiary in Jette, located in the greater Brussels area

Key Responsibilities :

Sales Performance Optimization : Generate detailed sales reports and insights, track Sales Teams' performance, and manage CRM system usage :

  • Generate Insights: Create comprehensive sales reports and analyses segmented by Division of Sales, Customers and Product Categories.

  • Performance Tracking: Oversee the Sales Teams' performance and bonus achievements for Belgium and Netherlands Business Units; validate objectives and results, generate detailed reports, and conduct in-depth analyses.

  • Field Data Analysis: Track and analyze field sales data, focusing on activities and objectives.

Financial Control & Reporting : Manage back margin spending, contribute to monthly financial analysis, ensure data accuracy, and provide RGM scorecards.

  • Monthly Analysis: Contribute to monthly financial closing and analysis, preparing top-line P&L statements and explaining variances against forecasts and previous year’s performance.

  • Back Margin Management: Manage the Back Margin module (JDE); train users, oversee contract management with Key Account Managers, reconcile back margins with the balance sheet, analyze contract variances, and handle invoicing.

  • Revenue Growth Management: Provide and analyze monthly RGM Scorecards and prepare support for the rolling forecast exercise for the sales P&L.

Accounting Tasks : Perform balance sheet reconciliations, assist in audit preparation, and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

  • Financial Records: Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring they are audit-ready and compliant with regulations.

P&L Management : Follow up on the upper part of the P&L, prepare top-line P&L statements, and explain variances against forecasts and previous year’s performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: University Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics.

  • Experience: 1-3 years in sales analysis or sales support roles.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Database systems, and PowerBI.

  • Languages: Fluent in Dutch and French (spoken and written); professional-level English.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong finance and business orientation.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent logical and analytical abilities; highly comfortable with data.

  • Self-Management: Autonomous, well-organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and rigorous in ensuring data accuracy.

  • Communication: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
