About the role

  • Our Transformation & Projects/ Operational Excellence team, composed of 11 people, is integrated in the Executive Leadership department.

  • As an Operations Transformation Leader, you will work on driving lean manufacturing practices throughout the company, fully embedded in our Star Factory program. You will get the opportunity to join a thriving Industrial Function and take part in an ambitious transformation initiative Solvay has, to enhance the Group's capabilities and enable us to upscale further.

  • You will be accountable for:

  • Drive the Star Factory program design, implementation, and tracking in our manufacturing sites in close collaboration with site teams, deploying the lean approach with consistency up to the highest level of maturity to drive superior performance improvement

  • Develop and sustain internal momentum around the different transformation activities to ensure the short-term and long-term performance objectives of the program of the sites are achieved

  • Develop, deploy, and inspire the change and performance management mindset, methodology, and toolbox

  • Transfer change management expertise (including toolbox and methodology) to the site stakeholders (Site Star Factory leader, change agents, shopfloor), ensuring hands-on training and coaching

  • You may be assigned to support missions in the sites of your region during critical phases of the transformation journey of a site

  • You will collaborate with digital teams to help develop new digital solutions, allowing standardization and simplification of activities and processes

  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 experience preferably in the Process Manufacturing industry.

  • Competencies:

  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Any other language is a plus

  • Lean Six Sigma

  • Behaviors:

  • Tech/Digital savvy

  • Data-driven

  • Continuous Improvement acumen

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Belgium base pay reasonably expected for this role is 82 000€ to 103 000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
