The Application Consultant for Leica Biosystems is responsible for Deliver first class technical applications support and training, perform demonstrations of Leica Biosystems instruments and reagents, with promotion and sales of the entire Leica Biosystems product portfolio.
The ultimate objective is to support customers throughout the entire customer journey whilst growing core reagent and product sales.
This position is part of the Leica Biosystems North-Eastern Europe Team and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Customer Acquisition and business development:
Pro-actively research and identify potential new customers in line with strategic directives to generate sales and to expand the Leica Biosystems customer base.
- Reagents Sales:
Generate and develop sales and product awareness of the entire Leica Biosystems product portfolio directly through customer visits & product information, samples, and customer trials.
- Demo/Negotiations & Support:
In collaboration with the entire (local) Leica Biosystems team, initiate and coordinate demos of Leica Biosystems products at customer sites.
- Market & Competitors Research:
Supply information on market share development, competitor’s activities, trends, and market developments in geographic region of responsibility to Sales Management and Marketing.
- Training and Support:
Performing customer training
The essential requirements of the job include
Highly experienced in the Histology Processing & Advanced Staining field in a clinical, research or industrial setting
Experience in the optimization, operation, functionality, and support of both manual and automated lab processes is highly desired, but not a requirement
Experienced in demonstrating and presenting solutions to a wide customer audience.
Language French and English fluent. Dutch would be a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or equivalent field, or Medical Lab Technician with relevant lab experience
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Previous experience in a technical, sales-oriented environment is a plus
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
