OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

To provide students with a safe, attractive, clean, comfortable and efficient environment to learn and develop.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- - Maintain cleanliness of buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas. - Must be able to lift 50 pounds. - Must be able to climb ladders to clean or perform maintenance duties. - Must be able to climb stairs from floor to floor to clean or perform maintenance duties. - Must be able to work on knees to clean or perform maintenance duties - Maintain cleanliness of building interior and exterior surfaces on schedule as determined by supervisor. - Assure that all walkways, driveways, parking areas, and steps are clear and passable. - Make minor building repairs and promptly report to Director any major repairs needed. - Remain on school premises during school hours, and non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and attendance is required by supervisor. - Moves furniture and/or equipment as required for various activities as directed by supervisor. - Establishes and maintains positive professional relationships with other employees, department heads and visitors. - Must be able to complete and practice all required training sessions as outlined by regulatory agencies such as Safety Works, OSHA, fire department and any other regulatory agencies. - Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
