Vail Resorts Digital Quality Assurance Analyst in Broomfield, Colorado

Job Summary:

As part of the Digital Marketing Technology team, the Digital Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will be pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital applications. This role will involve planning, executing, and documenting tests for a range of digital products, from simple to complex implementations. The Digital QA Analyst will initiate tests, analyze results, troubleshoot systems, and work collaboratively with development and business teams to resolve technical challenges and enhance the user experience.

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $66,100 - $87,110

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round (Hybrid)

  • Location: Within 50 miles of our Broomfield, CO headquarters or commuting distance to one of our following resorts: Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute test cases for web applications based on software requirements and technical specifications

  • Record and analyze test results, comparing them against expected outcomes to ensure high quality

  • Provide insights from a user’s perspective to improve the client-side experience

  • Enhance and mature regression testing processes, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficiency

  • Design and document detailed test plans for various projects

  • Participate actively in an Agile development environment, contributing to daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives

  • Lead QA efforts for web application releases, ensuring smooth transitions to production

  • Be available to address critical production issues, including after-hours support when necessary

  • Engage in on-mountain testing at our ski resorts as required

Job Requirements:

Required:

  • 2+ years of quality assurance work experience required

  • Proven experience in developing, executing, and documenting test cases, test plans, and test scripts

  • Hands-on experience with functional, regression, and exploratory testing

  • Experience in eCommerce testing

  • Experience in testing websites across multiple platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile)

  • A self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement

  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with testing tools like LambdaTest or BrowserStack

  • Familiarity with Jira for managing and tracking defects

  • Experience testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms

  • Basic understanding of automated testing frameworks (with the desire to develop further skills) is a plus

  • Experience with API endpoint testing using tools like Postman (or desire to learn) is a plus

  • Ability to ski or snowboard in winter, or engage in mountain biking or hiking at our Colorado resorts during summer, is a plus

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $66,100 - $87,110. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
