What is the job about?

The Senior Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the shipping of all production leaving our campus. You will provide our customers the most cost-effective transportation of products from our facilities. The Senior Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Logistics Supervisor. This role operates 5 days a week out of our Brookshire, TX facility.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Quote all shipments that are not scheduled to ship through LtL or courier services.

  • Schedule carriers to pick up and deliver products to our customer and end users.

  • Supply and maintain carrier quotes for customer service, project management and sales teams.

  • Complete all shipping transaction in SAP and testing of new functionalities in SAP for both local and regional teams.

  • Review first confirmation report, print out delivery transfer orders, and advise Logistics supervisor when errors are found. Perform analysis of missed shipments and communicating missed opportunities to Logistics and Production Control teams.

  • Responsible for the organizing, scanning and retention of all shipping documentation.

  • Review and approve shipping invoices in accordance with Delegation of Authority.

  • Contact customers, end users and customer service agents with updates in regard to transportation and delivery status of their orders.

  • Submit and track of all freight claims.

  • Report immediately all hazards / incidents to their direct Manager/Supervisor, or Site EHS Representative (or designee) after realizing a work-related event has occurred.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years Logistics experience in a computerized environment.

  • Must be computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and SAP or similar systems.

  • Will be required to take and follow written and oral instructions and display an English proficiency.

  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled factory environment

  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and use both hands and reach with hands and arms.

  • The ability to operate daily out of the Brookshire TX , facility.

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.
