Grundfos Americas Corporation is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for US to join the Group Tax team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Grundfos is compliant within areas like federal and state income tax, sales and use tax and property tax in US as well as supporting operations in Canada. This is achieved by developing and executing initiatives, activities, and guidelines to support the compliance processes. It is to be secured that taxes are duly considered when business decisions are made. This is done by supporting the Grundfos business in this process to reduce/minimize the global tax risk exposure as well as reducing the tax cost where appropriate. This position reports directly to the Head of Group Tax located in Denmark and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Brookshire, Texas facility together with another US tax colleague.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Being a driver for the US tax compliance by working closely together with the finance team and other Grundfos stakeholders along with external service providers.

  • Being a valued and trusted tax advisor for the Grundfos business and perform ad hoc tax analysis.

  • Support the companies when tax audits are ongoing and facilitate mutual agreement processes.

  • Building and maintaining good relationships with the authorities as well as internal collaboration partners.

  • Develop and implement tax strategies, policies, and guidelines.

  • Secure implementation of new tax laws and upgrade the ERP system, if needed.

  • Prepare and review various tax returns and support the colleagues in Group Tax with reviewing transfer pricing documentation.

  • Maintaining a tax calendar for tax payments and submissions.

  • Support implementation of new and automated IT solutions for tax compliance.

  • Manage tax risk based on a structured approach and balancing the right level for the tax control framework.

  • Working as a tax team through collaboration and taking accountability.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • A master’s degree in finance or Tax is required.

  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience preferably from a global tax organization with a strong emphasis on U.S. Income tax, sales and use tax, and tax audits.

  • Ability to communicate and present complex tax matters to colleagues and local authorities.

  • Understanding of local/international tax regulation.

  • Prior experience developing and implementing tax policies and guidelines, reflecting local/international tax regulation.

  • Knowledge of systems and applications such as SAP, BW/Analytic and MS Excel.

  • The ability to stay updated on business and tax matters.
