Description

The Reverse Logistics Quality team is seeking a qualified Principal Program Manager (PPM) to drive FC Controllable Concessions reduction improvements in NACF. In this role, you will partner with operations and centralized program teams as a Concessions PPM owning network wide projects that span a broad spectrum of multifunctional aspects of the business.

The Principal Program Manager role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of the Quality team and Concessions stakeholders. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Operations, Worldwide Returns, and Recommerce, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT), Amazon Robotics, Advanced Technology, ACES, Finance, Seller Experience teams, Customer Service, Vendor Management, etc. to deploy solutions at scale. This role is responsible for identifying and prioritizing roadmap strategies and opportunities across multiple VP-level organizations. This includes Global Fulfillment Chain-ACES, QuBIT, World Wide FBA, Supply Chain Optimization Technology, Seller Support Services, and North America Customer Fulfillment, Customer Service, NCRC and Defect Prevention & Reconciliation.

This role acts as a single-threaded-leader responsible for owning NA Quality’s programmatic approach to reduce costs associated with FC Controllable Concessions. This includes leading programs solving upstream partner challenges that are can be architectural and operational in nature with no strategy defined. This position is expected to operate independently. As part of this, to understand problems effectively, this role requires the ability to identify risks and opportunities in strategies, and organizational structure. This position is be responsible for making tradeoff decisions across multiple teams, VP organizations, and policies. This role is also responsible for writing business updates, requirements, and aligning stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

•Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

•5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

•MBA

•Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.

•SQL and Data Analysis experience.

•6+ years of Business Management and/or Operations experience

•Experience using analytical tools to solve business problems

•Experience juggling multiple priorities and making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

•Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions

•Excellent Verbal and written communications skills

•Proven presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences

• Grasping technical issues and communicating directly with technical teams

About the team

Reverse Logistics (ReLo) encompasses all operations related to the reuse of products and materials. Unlike Forward Logistics, which moves products from Fulfillment Centers (FCs) to customers, ReLo works backwards and moves products from customers' hands to returns centers to be resold as new, returned to vendors, resold as used, liquidated, donated, recycled, or destroyed. Amazon processes, inspects, evaluates, and disposes products into different channels to generate recovery to offset the cost of returns.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 6+ years of program or project management experience

  • 6+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
