JOB DESCRIPTION

Production Associate I is an entry-level position responsible for basic tasks in production operations support, including receiving, refurbishing, pick/pack/shipping, and inventory control.

CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Receiving: Receive and inspect incoming items, perform data entry for part numbers and quantities, and sort and route items based on condition.

  • Order Fulfillment: Pick items for orders using a handheld device, validate items and quantities, and prepare items for shipment

  • Refurbishing: Assist in basic refurbishing tasks like cleaning and minor repairs, and sort and route items for further refurbishing or disposal/recycling

  • Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts, assist in maintaining inventory accuracy, and organize and label inventory locations

  • Processes and Procedures: Follows all SOPs applicable to the position

  • Safety: Complies with all company policies and procedures and actively promotes safety

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma / GED preferred

  • Basic computer skills; must be able to learn and use company inventory software program

  • Ability to learn and use industry software

  • Knowledge of IOS/Android apps sufficient to submit time

PREFERED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous warehouse experience helpful

  • Familiarity with MS Office

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to adapt to a culture of continuous improvement

  • Capability to adapt and support changing organizational and operational needs

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

  • Ability for close visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses, viewing a computer screen, use computer/office equipment, reading, and/or inspection of small parts

  • Ability to independently move equipment (load/unload product) up to 45 pounds throughout shift

  • Ability to push/pull a cart on casters loaded with heavy equipment.

  • Frequently move through the warehouse to access product

  • Move self/ extend hands and arms (including substantial motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers) in different positions to accomplish tasks

  • Ability to communicate, understand, remember, and follow verbal and written instructions

  • Capability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs

  • Ability to perform in situations requiring speed, deadlines and productivity quotas

  • Subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that may affect. respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, gases. Some positions require use of respirator

  • Subject to hazards: such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on a lift vehicle

  • Subject to noise: There is sufficient noise in some areas where hearing protection may be used.
