EH & S ANALYST III

Job Overview

Ensures and monitors safety in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety, and hazardous material standards, procedures, and practices consistent with established company, environmental, and government regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain an EHS management system for the organization that meets the TE Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (SAFE) requirements, maintain TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies and TE specifications and provides for continuous improvement in EH&S performance.

  • Engage operations team to sustain EHS management systems such as TE’S S.A.F.E. program

  • Deliver training programs to ensure those involved in maintaining the organization’s EHS programs awareness of their responsibilities and how to discharge them. Provide training for all employees in support of achieving 100% engagement in EHS. Including behavior-based safety (BBS), ergonomics programs, risk assessment, EHS training, machine guarding and employee engagement.

  • Communicate with all levels in the organization on EHS to engage with influence and motivate to the Plant Manager, managers, supervisors and employees. Drive EHS initiatives to achieve the organization’s goals and strategy.

  • Participate in incident investigations and advise management on appropriate corrective actions.

  • Facilitate in risk assessments, advising risk assessment teams on the assessment process; quantification of risks; prioritizing risks for action and effective risk control measures.

What your background should look like:

  • High School Diploma with 5+ yrs. experience in EH&S, preferably within manufacturing facility.

  • Batchelor's degree with Environmental Health and Safety or related field

  • Background in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously working on multiple projects that may involve several stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) law and regulations.

  • Experience with industrial hygiene, preferred

  • Demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration and team building skills required

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution.

  • Able to understand and execute processes including: recognizing customer needs, communicating process changes, measuring and assessing success and identifying areas of improvement

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a site.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $91,000 -105,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
