Lifeworks is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional 1 to support adults with disabilities through focused activities that challenge and enrich their long-range goals. The Direct Support Professional 1 will work in Brooklyn Park, the surrounding community, and virtually. How you ll be spending your time: Developing, organizing, and leading group activities/classes in the center, community or virtually through Zoom. Teaching a variety of enrichment skills including wellness, healthy living and life skills to individuals in a classroom or one-on-one. Transporting individuals out into the community for volunteering and other outings using a company vehicle or personal vehicle. Supporting individuals in completing goals and documenting their progress. Observing safety procedures and personnel policies. Balance important to and important for decisions of participants in their communities.
