The successful candidate will have passion for design and act as a knowledgeable evangelist for human-centered design and creative processes. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain project experience across design, ideation, user research, workshop facilitation, mapping complex systems, and design deliverable creation. This person should have a desire to learn new skills and methods and have an interest in experience opportunities specific to the financial sector. About the CX+EX Team The CX+EX Team are passionate advocates for KeyBank's clients and teammates. We combine transformational experience capabilities across research & analysis, experience strategy, design & development, and employee experience. These capabilities are used to collaborate across the bank to create relevant and differentiated experiences that drive client, teammate and business outcomes. The Key Design Studio specifically brings together strategists, service design, product design and UX writing skillsets to improve or reimagine the experiences of KeyBank's clients' or teammates' from concept to creation using a human-centered design 5-step framework of Discovery, Analysis, Ideation, Prototyping and Testing. Competencies Strong product design, visual design or UX writing skills represented in an online portfolio showcase or pdf Visual design experience to develop design thinking workshop and other client presentation materials UX/digital design experience using UX tools to create journey maps, user personas, service blueprints, etc. Design strategy experience using a variety of UX research methods (qualitative and quantitative) Software experience using Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, Storybook, MS Office An ability to visualize research findings as diagrams, visual frameworks, and designs to help clients understand concepts in new ways A blue-sky mindset with an eye on pragmatism and designing to achieve business goals Collaboratively focused and able to work with a diverse group of stakeholders across design and business functions Professional demeanor with a strategic mindset and humility when working with non-design stakeholders Education Current Sophomore (graduating 2026) or Junior (graduating 2025) Current Enrollment in a Certificate, Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Writing, Digital Design, Computer Science, Visual Communications, Finance, or other related programs or degrees Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $25 per hour.
