Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Brooklyn, New York. The role involves managing and processing various accounting transactions, maintaining financial records, and dealing with financial queries. The chosen candidate will join a team where the focus is on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger management.

Responsibilities

• Handling financial transactions related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Keeping accurate records of financial data for reference and reporting

• Assisting in the month end close process with an emphasis on journal entries

• Managing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintaining the General Ledger and ensuring all entries are accurate

• Using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Resolving financial inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitoring financial accounts for potential issues and taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and management

• Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) with accuracy and timeliness

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Comfortable with creating and managing Journal Entries

• Demonstrated ability in handling Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks

• Experience with Oracle for financial management

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for accounting purposes

• Familiarity with SAP, especially in the context of accounting operations
