The Hartman Research Laboratory (https://wp.nyu.edu/hartmanlab/) in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to join an exciting project on microfluidic synthesis of materials in energy science.

The project involves the study of crystallizations in confinement, their in-situ characterization, and the development of first-principle models from microreactor experiments. Candidates proficient in chemical engineering will be responsible for teamwork in a multi-institution, collaborative, government funded research project and perform work in a multidisciplinary environment.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $62,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

We are seeking individuals with a strong background in chemical engineering and/or related fields. Qualified candidates should have experience with the design of microfluidics, fabrication using cleanroom facilities, and their application with analytical techniques. Proficiency in computer programming, and computational fluid dynamics simulations are also desired. The successful candidate will be driven, creative, and team-oriented with a passion for discovery.
