<center><img style="margin:0 auto;display:block" src="https://www.jobelephant.com/banners/4003622.gif" /></center><br><br><b>Leadership Giving Officer (71101)</b><br><br><br><b>Location:</b> Brooklyn, NY<br><br><b>Description:</b><br>The <strong>Leadership Giving Officer</strong> will build and manage a dynamic portfolio of donors capable of making gifts to the Fund for Pratt of $1,000 and up. The Officer will spend a significant amount of time meeting with current and potential Pratt supporters and advocating for their continued support of The Fund for Pratt. This position will be key in building a robust pipeline of major gift prospects and developing a culture of philanthropy at Pratt Institute.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul> <li>Qualify, cultivate, and solicit Pratt alumni and friends capable of making Leadership gifts of $1,000 to The Fund for Pratt. Maintain a portfolio of at least 300 prospects.</li> <li>Create and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies to meet visit and revenue goals by planning, managing, and maintaining an aggressive travel schedule.</li> <li>Execute cultivation methods that will include telephone, email, and personal visits with prospects. A minimum of 8-12 monthly personal visits are expected.</li> <li>Engage faculty, Deans, and other academic staff in the cultivation and solicitation process of gifts.</li> <li>Consult with Donor Relations to develop ways to thank, recognize, and steward donors with an eye on retention.</li> <li>Identify potential new donors by reviewing the Daily Gift Report.</li> <li>Qualify prospects for potential major gifts and work with the Major Gifts team on moving prospects towards a major gift ask.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Annual Fund team to create high-quality and results-focused mailings and materials.</li> <li>Maintain regular and accurate records of outreach, visits, and solicitation results in Raiser's Edge.</li> <li>Work with Development Operations and Annual Giving to produce and share reports on giving trends.</li> <li>Build relationships with and knowledge about Pratt schools, faculty, staff, and trustees to engage and manage relationships with donors.</li> </ul><br><br><b>Qualifications:</b><br><strong>Education:</strong><br><ul> <li>Bachelors degree required.</li> </ul> <br><strong>Experience:</strong><br><ul> <li>3 years of experience in fundraising.</li> </ul> <br><strong>Skills:</strong><br><ul> <li>Excellent research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to understand and articulate the accomplishments and goals of complex organizations.</li> <li>Sound judgment skills are necessary for interacting with donor prospects, trustees, faculty, and staff.</li> <li>Proficiency in Raisers Edge or a similar database system is preferred.</li> </ul> <br&g ;<strong>Other:</strong><br><ul> <li>Travel and the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends are required.</li> </ul> <br><strong>Note: </strong>This job description overviews the Leadership Giving Officer role within Pratt Institute's Division of Institutional Advancement.
