NADAP Data Analyst in Brooklyn, New York

Overview

The Data Analyst provides systems support for the Career Compass program by collecting, analyzing and reporting data from multiple data sources for program requirements. The Data Analyst conducts on-going quality assurance of data and develops processes for effective data reporting and process improvements. The Data Analyst also assists with initial onboarding to HRA and NADAP databases to ensure uniformity of training and expectations for data entry in collaboration with management.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts the collection, analysis and distribution of Career Compass reporting, data and milestone management. Helps to measure program performance and goal attainment.

  • Seeks out and acquires data sources and helps brainstorm strategies on optimizing efficiency using programmatic data. Establishes program queries and present their findings to staff.

  • Submits statistical reporting to staff, supervisors and senior management in preparation for funders report distribution.

  • Creates dashboards, reports, and visualizations to highlight trends and collaborates with the management team on prioritizing business needs based on program information. Identifies trends, develops and implements new systems to improve CareerCompass operations and reporting functions.

  • Evaluates and researches all aggregate milestones claims for accuracy and reviews any discrepancies. Communicates findings to the Assistant Director and Director.

  • Meets deadlines for daily, weekly and monthly report preparation as required by the program.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 3 Years' experience in running reports and analyzing data, and works with web-based systems and databases.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with accuracy.

  • Working in an automated on-line system, demonstrates proficiency in use of applied information technology and on-line database systems; demonstrates keyboarding speed proficiency and accuracy required for a paperless case management system.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Excellent computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent math skills.

  • Prior professional experience working within a community-based organization or the government sector, directly serving an under-resourced population is required.

  • Maintain professional ethics related to confidentiality of client information.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Salary: $60,000/year

Working 5 days on site in Brooklyn NY office.
