Work closely with internal partners to facilitate the development of new business relationships as well as develop prospects through COIs and other proactive measures. Play a vital role in the growth and development of the business banking portfolio and market share. May have 1-2 direct reports and could be deeply involved in the strategic initiatives of the Business Line. Provide coaching and performance assessment to the relationship manager direct reports. Directly or through leading others, initiate new business opportunities for the bank through the development of new business contacts and maintenance of existing client relationships to ensure sufficient loan, deposit and fee income. Effectively leverage assigned staff for maximum personal impact on new business development. Ensure resources are always deployed on a \"highest and best use\" basis.
