Program Summary:Children’s Aid’s Foster Care programs place children with supportive families in their own neighborhoods when their parents cannot offer them the stability, safety, and support they need to thrive. The Foster Care program is prepared to deal with the widest range of child welfare situations—from temporary situations that allow birth families to address issues until they can be reunited, to specialized homes with highly trained foster parents for children who need constant care for chronic medical and developmental conditions, or children reacting to trauma. Our programs provide trainings to support individuals in these roles.**

*Bachelor’s degree salary range - $50,000 to $55,000

**Master’s degree salary range - $62,400 to $65,000

Essential Duties:**

  • Work with a dynamic team of professionals including nurses and social workers in our foster care program for children with special medical needs.

  • Provide intensive casework services and fieldwork for children and their birth and foster families with the goal of providing permanency as quickly as possible.

  • With medical staff, team-train foster parents in specialized child care skills.

  • Conduct intensive outreach to connect children and families with agency and community treatment resources.

  • Maintain written case records.

  • Work in partnership with RN assigned to cases; collaboration includes conducting home visits whenever possible.

  • In-person collaboration is an essential function of the job.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: **

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.

  • Foster care experience preferred;

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills;

  • Flexibility, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

  • Computer literacy;
