Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director, provide behavioral health support services for children/adolescents and their

families. These functions are performed under general supervision, necessitating the ability to exercise independent and

sound judgment.This role requires travel and providing home and community-based services in the Brooklyn and Manhattan. Flexible schedule required.

Essential Duties:

  • Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Provide psycho-education to children/youth and families around treatment options and diagnosis.

  • Utilizing a strengths-based approach, assist families with identifying strengths and supports to address behavioral deficits.

  • Teach skill building techniques to children/youth and families to promote personal independence.

  • Carry a caseload of 12-14 clients.

  • Provide family caregiver support.

  • Assist with developing social and interpersonal skills as well as developing coping strategies.

  • Complete progress notes in a timely manner.

  • Submit billing encounter forms in a timely manner.

  • Monitor timelines and goals to ensure positive outcomes

  • Use and identify best practices to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement

  • Communicate progress and challenges to all staff and stakeholders

  • Carefully manage resources; both human and financial

  • Comply with all privacy laws including HIPAA, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

* Minimum Qualifications:*

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 2 years’ experience in children’s mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice required.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

  • Experience with home/community-based services.

  • Experience using evidence-based models preferred.
