Admissions and Parking Associate (Temporary/Seasonal) -

• Expected end date: October 31, 2024, but may extend further to support seasonal programs.
• Many of our seasonal employees are offered an opportunity for promotion to permanent positions, or to return as seasonal employees for the following season.

Job Description: Location: Bronx Zoo Employment Type: Temporary Status: Non-Exempt Grade Level: Hourly Pay Rate Starting At: $16.00/hour

Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and holidays and during school breaks. Schedule varies and is dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change and may require late shift hours of up to 11:00 pm for special programs such as Holiday Lights.

Essential duties may include: - Handle all in-park ticket sales - Validate tickets and admit entry into the park and various exhibits/attractions - Direct guests to park vehicles in designated parking locations - Actively promote and inform guests about our portfolio of premium products, such as membership - Process all transactions through the ticketing point-of-sale system

Qualification Requirements: - Ability to engage with the general public in a friendly manner - Ability to stand for long periods of time - Ability to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds - Comfortable being exposed to cold and hot weather conditions - Ability to work well within a team - Ability to learn & be compliant with cash handling processes
