Job Description

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades/installations on a 200,000-ton grain elevator at a port facility.

• Repair and maintain all electrical systems on the site, ensuring functionality and safety.

• Collaborate with health and safety teams to implement and follow preventative maintenance measures.

• Read and interpret both new and old electrical schematics accurately.

• Prioritize tasks effectively to manage urgent repairs and routine maintenance efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on all electrical systems on the site. Work on conveyors, motors, grain elevator systems, PLC robotics, to name a few.

• Collaborate with health and safety teams for preventative maintenance.

• Read and interpret new and old schematics for electrical systems.

• Prioritize tasks effectively.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in PLC robotics and automation systems.

• Strong electrical skills, including troubleshooting and repair.

• Valid 309A Electrician license.

• At least 1 year of experience (including apprentice hours) in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in English.

• Mechanical experience considered an asset.

• Reliable transit as site is located in Johnstown !

Work Environment

• Very large industrial grain facility. Inside the tower, it is dark and dusty with fine particle grain everywhere (not suitable for individuals with celiac disease).

• Team consists of about 10 members, including a foreman, grain foreman, and GM.

• Free parking available.

• Location by the water offers a pleasant environment for breaks!

• Monday to Friday. day/morning shifts.
