Job Title: Meat Cutter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team in South Shore, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat to meet our customers' needs. This role requires precision, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and excellent customer service skills.

Pay

$25-30 hourly

Shift

5:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat products including beef, pork, poultry, and fish.

• Ensure all meat products are of the highest quality and presented attractively.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment such as slicers, grinders, and saws.

• Assist customers with their meat selections, providing recommendations and answering questions.

• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.

• Package and label meat products accurately for display and sale.

• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role.

• Knowledge of various meat cuts and preparation techniques.

• Ability to operate meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a cold environment and lift heavy items.

Work Environment

Work on the production floor and in and out of cold storage. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in cold temperatures. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
