Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, security, and operations, with a passion for implementing best practices and innovative solutions. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the secure and efficient deployment of our applications and infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and prioritize requirements and integrate them into the software development lifecycle.

· Implement and maintain tool/portal, processes, and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our application and infrastructure.

· Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate potential risks.

· Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

· Automate processes and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous monitoring and remediation of security issues.

· Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and reports to identify and respond to potential security incidents.

· Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Skills & Experience:

· Security first mindset, knowledge of security principles

· Experience with various programming and scripting languages:

o Python, Java, HTML, PostgreSQL, YANG.

· Experience with:

o Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins/Azzure Devops, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kafka

· Enterprise LAN/WAN knowledge and experience: routing, switching, firewalls (CCNA+ level)

· Experience of administration and development/scripting on Linux operating systems

· Knowledge of cloud solutions (Azure/AWS) and cloud networking

· Knowledge of security principles, technologies, and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control.

· Understanding of networking and TCP/IP stack

· Familiarity with working in an Agile/Scrum development process

· Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.

· Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

· BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related subject

This job opportunity is suitable also for fresh graduates.

Compensation: starting from 63 000CZK gross monthly.

The actual offered salary may be considerably higher based on your skills, knowledge and experience.

This is a hybrid-flex worker position where our preference is for you to be present with your team in the office at least 1-3 times per week.
